Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) called Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate from Michigan, anti-American and said Democratic Socialists should have their own party distinct from the Democratic Party. In an interview on Hannity, Fetterman said El-Sayed is in a “spiritual union” with controversial streamer Hasan Piker. “I don’t get along with El-Sayed,” Fetterman said. “You know, I don’t get along with him because he absolutely supports Sharia law. I mean, he’s absolutely pro-Iran and Hamas. I mean, he even said he wants to define the police. And he’s in a spiritual union with Hasan Piker, who really thinks that we deserve 9/11. So overall, I don’t get along with communists and socialists and people that hate America, or people that pick on women, you know, like El-Sayed.” “They want to impoverish middle-class whites and, you know, seize all the production, so absolutely,” Fetterman said. “I would think every single Democrat should condemn the DSA. This is not like a big tent situation. They should have their own entire party and run alone as the kinds of communists and socialists and anti-American party that they are.”

SEAN HANNITY: This is what so many Democrats running now believe 250 elected since 2019. We have over 40 running in this campaign cycle. This is a socialist slash Communist Party. They don’t love our country. They want to totally dismantle your way of life. It was reaction to all of tonight’s stories. We have a lot of people. We have Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman. Senator. I got excoriated on my radio show this week about being friends with you. I don’t apologize for being friends with you. I know we don’t disagree. I know we don’t agree on every issue. SEN. JOHN FETTERMAN (D-PA): Who is yelling at you about being friends? I mean, I get that on my side, I guess, but no. HANNITY: Well, no, it was a caller who was very articulate, very bright, very smart. And I said, you know, I know that we don’t agree on everything. But we could agree to disagree on this, and it’s not a big problem for us. And the one thing that stands out in my mind, what I do like about you, and I can ask you about some things we disagree on, but what I do like is you’ll have the conversation. I do like that you stand up for liberty and freedom, that you are not a communist slash socialist, that you support the president as commander in chief, that you believe we did the right thing with Israel and Iran, preventing the Iranians from ever getting a nuclear weapon. We have a lot of areas we agree on. You remind me a lot of Joe Lieberman, and I got along very well with him. FETTERMAN: Yeah, yeah, no, absolutely. And I never got along with P-Hustle (Graham Platner) in Maine. And now as a Democrat, I would call him that he was trash. You know, I don’t get along with El-Sayed. You know, I don’t get along with him because he absolutely supports Sharia law. I mean, he’s absolutely pro-Iran and Hamas. I mean, he even said he wants to define the police. And he’s in a spiritual union with Hasan Piker, who really thinks that we deserve 9/11. So overall, I don’t get along with communists and socialists and people that hate America, or people that pick on women, you know, like El-Sayed. So overall. HANNITY: Well, I don’t think you agree with a lot of their agenda. You know, like, for example, you opposed overturning Roe v. Wade, okay? Number one, you opposed the death penalty. Number two, you co-sponsored a bill to ban assault weapons. Number three, you joined other Senate Democrats in voting against the bill that would ban trans girls and women from women’s sports. Those are areas we disagree on. But we can have a conversation. I don’t feel with this DSA crowd with Telerico, and God is non-binary, and six genders, and abortion rights for all trans people, even biological men, which I think is insane, banning oil and gas. That is the lifeblood of the world’s economy. So we do disagree on a lot of issues, and that’s why you have said many times you’re not going to become a Republican, correct? FETTERMAN: No, I’m not going to be Republican, but I’m going to be a Democrat that’s going to have a conversation with whoever’s playing it straight, like we always have for now. Now, I’ve been the one person that really criticized the DSA types and some of the unacceptable kinds of candidates that my party is selecting. And now I’ve said that on Jesse [Watters]’s show several months ago that the Democratic Party is becoming having like an orgy of socialism, so a bit overall, I’ll call balls and strikes, and I’m always going to put our country ahead of party. HANNITY: Yeah, but let me go over this DSA agenda. They want to eliminate the Senate. We would no longer get to pick the president. They want to pack the courts. They want amnesties for illegals. They want no borders. They want no deportation. Abolish ICE, defund the Department of War, eliminate cash bail, abolish prisons, police, cradle-to-grave socialism, the Green New Deal, guaranteed government job, health care, daycare, retirement, and everything guaranteed. Do you agree with any part of those things I’m mentioning, any part? FETTERMAN: Of course not. Of course not. Like the DSA, they’re deeply anti-American. They’re deeply anti-capitalism. They’re deeply anti the American way of life. But when you look at the kind of individuals that are actually in the DSA, you know, they’re living in a house that their dad bought it for one and a half million dollars and they’re refurbishing it for another million or more. And they have, they want to impoverish middle-class whites and, you know, seize all the production, so absolutely. You know, I would think every single Democrat should condemn the DSA. This is not like a big tent situation. They should have their own entire party and run alone as the kinds of communists and socialists and anti-American party that they are. HANNITY: I have no problem. I mean, I defend the fact that we get along. I defend the fact that we can disagree and not be disagreeable. I applaud the fact that you’ll come on Fox and you’ll have a conversation. Thank you. Many of these people will not. Why are you the only elected Democrat? It might be two or three in the house also, to be fair. But the only prominent elected Democrat that will speak out against this radicalism that is pretty much taken over your party. Why does your party and your leadership seem to cower in fear against this hostile takeover of the party? FETTERMAN: Yeah, I agree. I mean, you got to call it what it is. I mean, in some of these kind of districts, they’re choosing these kind of truly terrible people. And they seem to have like a deeply anti-American kinds of view overall. And there are people that will campaign with this on Piker. Like I said this, I think on your show several weeks ago, like I’m daring him, campaign with this Hasan Piker. You know, I will donate $ 25,000 to his super PAC for every campaign rally that he does with Hasan Piker. You know, that’s definitely, that’s his main guy. So like get back out on the trail, dude. I mean, let the tiny guy just go hit the road with Hasan Piker. You know, he tries to pretend that he doesn’t have the same kinds of views as Hasan Piker because he’s campaigned with him constantly of overall. So right now I’m daring them. Are they cowards? You know, campaign together. Or condemn them. What are you going to be? HANNITY: You know, my favorite, though, is he refers to him. Oh, that’s some California podcaster. And meanwhile, Hasan Piker’s there saying, no, outside asked me to be on the campaign trail with him.
