Rich Baris: Even If We Win In Iran, You Don’t Get Political Points From Winning A War People Didn’t Want
Rich Baris, director of Big Data Poll, on “The People’s Pundit” podcast, said the Iran War has become a political liability for the Trump administration because it pulled attention away from the domestic agenda voters actually cared about.
RICH BARIS, BIG DATA POLL: Let’s just call it out. I know the administration gets super pissed when you criticize them over the war. This war was a catastrophic mistake. And we can all just agree now. I mean, I know they’re out there saying, well, we won, we won. Here’s what they never understood, the Marc Thiessens, the Will Chamberlains, the Mark Levins. You don’t get any political points, even if you did win a war and that slop was true. You don’t get any political points with these people from winning a war they didn’t want, from winning a war that actually hurt them, from winning a war that completely distracted you away from the domestic agenda they elected you to implement. It was all downside. And that’s what they never understood. We could go out, bro, and put the banner up, mission accomplished. We won, rah, rah, America, b*tch, and come home. And that’s it. It’s too late. It’s too late. You have to do something now for them, or you’re going to lose badly.
