Trump Dismisses AI Fears: “The Robots Will Not Be Taking Over”
President Donald Trump made a surprise call to the “All-In” Summit, where NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang was on stage, doubling down on his claim that concerns about artificial intelligence are a “hoax.”
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, I know about AI. I also have common sense about AI. The robots will not be taking over. The AI will not be taking over the rest of the world. The whole thing is a hoax. With that, we have to be a little bit careful. We have to do things and we have to do them prudently. But that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop an industry because, you know, as we work for the next 10 years about how to display it. So I’m with you all the way. I didn’t even know how you felt about that. I assume you felt the same way as me. And we’re going to lead. And I have an expression. “Whoever wins, AI wins.” That’s how big it is. It’s bigger than the Internet. And whoever wins, AI wins. And we can’t let this kind of stuff happen. And that includes very much includes data centers. There are communities that we’re dying that have data centers right now. And now they’re wealthy communities. Really wealthy communities.
