Peachy Keenan: Under January 6 Rules, LA Rioters Should Be In Jail
Jack Posobiec and Peachy Keenan comment on how local law enforcement is responding to riots in Los Angeles:
JACK POSOBIEC: These are like concrete blocks that were being chipped off parts of the highway and overpass and thrown at them. You see, a number of times they get hit in the head. Lime scooters up on the overpass were being thrown down at these vehicles. It’s crazy because, look, I sat through-and we all sat through-the Jan. 6 situation where everyone was rounded up, cellphones were geotracked, geofenced, and located. None of that seems to be happening here in L.A. at all. PEACHY KEENAN: I watched this live last night, and then there was a press conference where the chief of police came on. Not only did he counter the governor and the mayor-he said, No, we are overwhelmed. The LAPD cannot handle this, despite what Mayor Bass had been saying. He said officers are not only having rocks thrown at them but bottles of liquid as well. I watched live as a crazy protester threw a burning Molotov cocktail at a group of police officers on horseback and lit up some trees. They arrested that person. And then when asked how many arrests had been made today, they said, We’ve done 10 arrests in total. Ten arrests when you see literally thousands of people who, under the Jan. 6 rules, would need to go to solitary confinement for life. Those are the rules: insurrection, shoving a cop, threatening a cop-you go to jail for 40 plus years. I thought those were the rules. They’ll arrest a few of them, but I doubt any will do serious time. We do have a new district attorney who’s a little tougher than the last psychotic Marxist-but unfortunately, people who just want to go to work, live their lives, and teenagers who want to graduate high school this week are caught up all over the city. There are huge swaths of the city we’re now too terrified to enter. These two leaders are taking the protesters’ side and not ours.
