Harold Ford Jr.: Trump Has To Make Sure Iran Does Not Have A Nuclear Weapon, “I Think He Will Make The Right Decision”
Harold Ford Jr. on “Special Report” tonight said we can not live in a world where Iran has a nuclear weapon.
BRET BAIER, HOST: …and the Gulf states, they put out, you know, denunciation statements early, but they’ve been very quiet too, because they could see the dynamic changing in the Middle East, Howard. HAROLD FORD JR., FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR, ‘FIVE’ CO-HOST: I think two questions, just to add on, and everyone, whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, MAGA world or not, the question has to be what happens if we don’t act? Are we prepared to answer that question for those who are saying what happens if we do and this happens? And two, one thing I’m fairly certain about, which we’ve all echoed, if we don’t act and they develop a nuclear weapon, I’m fairly confident that they’ll do what you just said, which is follow through on their death to America and death to Israel. But for those who think that this is about Israel, and it is about Israel to an extent, this is about US interests at stake. This is about your kids and my kids and hopefully grandkids one day not living in a world where the Iranians have a nuclear weapon. BAIER: But you know what some segments of the political population will say, that you’re trying to drag us into another long war in the Middle East. That’s what they’ll say. FORD: No, I’m saying that the facts and the circumstances and the threats have risen to a point where the president has to make the most difficult and dangerous decision any president has to make. He has the information and I trust he will make the right decision.
