Trump: Zohran Mamdani Is A Communist, I Think He Admits It
President Trump reacted to democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s victory in the Democratic NYC mayoral primary during an interview with FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo:
MARIA BARTIROMO: What did you make of the New York City Mayor Democrat primary? Mamdani in. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: He’s a communist. I think it’s very bad for New York. I don’t know that he’s going to get in-it’s inconceivable-but he’s a communist. And he’s a pure communist. I think he admits it. I can’t imagine it. But let’s say this: if he does get in, I’m going to be president and he’s going to have to do the right thing or they’re not getting any money. He’s got to do the right thing. It’s shocking that-I would have assumed that this-I never-I used to say we will never have a socialist in this country. No, but we’ll have a communist. He’s a communisting or going to be mayor of New York. So I was very surprised. I never heard of him. I don’t know who he is. MARIA BARTIROMO: Well, he said he’s going to fight I.C.E. He’s not going to allow- PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: He’ll be unsuccessful. MARIA BARTIROMO: And he said if Benjamin Netanyahu comes to New York, he’ll have him arrested. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: He’s a radical left lunatic. MARIA BARTIROMO: Who would you be poised to support in New York? PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, I don’t know to say-I don’t want to say that because I-I have a lot of friends, so I don’t want to get into this. Whoever’s mayor of New York is going to have to behave.
