Mark Penn to Democrats: “Run Away From Mamdani”
Democratic strategist and pollster Mark Penn encouraged Democrats to “get together” to ensure Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani does not win the New York City mayoral election.
CHARLIE HURT, ‘HANNITY’ GUEST HOST: You know, Mark, it is so amazing to me to look at where the Democrat Party is now in New York City and how far it is from the party that, say, Bill Clinton managed to successfully win with. What is your advice to Democrats for how they deal with Zoran Mamdani in New York City? MARK PENN: Well, first of all, I think it’s important to note that the primary system got changed, and it got moved, you know, to hot June. And so it’s not the system that it was, where there would be now a runoff with Cuomo and Mamdani. Look, I think the best advice is for Democrats to run away from Mamdani. Having someone with anti-Semitic socialist views and tendencies as mayor would hurt the Democratic Party, but more importantly, it hurts the country. I think Republicans and Democrats have to get together on this and say they have a vested interest, they won’t let 400,000 or 500,000 votes in New York, in a city of 8 million people, turn this city into a socialist experiment. I think it’s important for them all to get together and, in fact, not let him win this general election just because he got a nomination.
