John Kerry: Trump Was “Right” About The Border, “We All Should Have Been Right”
Former Secretary of State John Kerry, in an interview with BBC correspondent James Naughtie on BBC Radio’s “Reflections,” said President Donald Trump was right about the border.
JOHN KERRY: The first thing any president should say, any president, or anybody in public life, is, without a border protected, you don’t have a nation – I believe that. If you’re going to define your nation, you have to have a border that means something We have a system. I wish President Biden had been heard more often saying, “I’m going to enforce the law.” JAMES NAUGHTIE, BBC RADIO: If Donald Trump were out on the veranda there, looking out over the sea, and he turned around and came in this room and said, there you are, “I was right all along.” That’s what he would say. KERRY: Well, he was right. The problem is, we all should have been right.
