She understands it’s the byproduct of Trump’s energy and creativity.” “He chose her because she was best for the job. She ran a superb campaign, and he trusts her. But yes, she can manage egos – and with a cabinet of alphas, a male chief might just clash more.” “She also talked about how he likes chaos – likes lots of inputs – but eventually, someone has to help him land the plane,” she said. “She rarely gives interviews, but she gave you one. How does she view the press?” Cannon asked. “Wariness, maybe cynicism,” Devine said. “But she’s a political operative – she knows the game. Trump’s world is surrounded by hostile media, and she accepts that.” “She gave me the interview, I think, because Pod Force One is long form – not ‘gotcha.’ It’s more about what makes them tick. Like when I asked what Trump’s most annoying habit was. She said he’s a little tardy sometimes, and that makes meetings go long.”
