“Piers Morgan embarrassed himself today,” Don Lemon said about an interview on Thursday about free speech in the context of Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the firing of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel. Lemon was acting like a “complete dick,” Morgan said, when a question about whether Lemon considers himself a “victim of cancel culture” went completely off the rails. “I’m sure that I was a victim of cancel culture,” Lemon said. But he accused Morgan of an “ambush” when shown a clip widely reported to be the reason his CNN show was canceled, and asked if he would have said anything different. “You can say what you like about me, I don’t care… I don’t understand why you’re playing the victim card when you yourself mentioned cancel culture,” Morgan said. “I don’t think I’ll take lectures on being a respectful journalist from you, Don,” Piers Morgan said. “I don’t know why you’ve gone on this weird rant.
