Rufo: Vice President Vance Has What It Takes To Hold The Conservative Movement Together
Christopher Rufo, speaking on the Charlie Kirk Show, argued that Vice President J.D. Vance is the best person to fill the Charlie Kirk role of keeping the conservative movement glued together:
CHRISTOPHER RUFO: As I’m looking around for other people who could fill his shoes and serve in that same capacity, the first person that comes to mind is the sitting vice president of the U.S. J.D. has great relationships with all the various factions on the right, and he of course has the bully pulpit of being the vice president. He can really gatekeep in a unique way: offering access to the White House, and then getting people in line. Look, the right is facing this question now. Many of us wish we weren’t doing it right before an election, but the cat is now out of the bag, and we need to resolve these questions sooner rather than later. I think the vice president has the credibility and relationships to get the job done. I hope he steps up and can be a galvanizing figure who sets the boundaries and direction so all of us can be more effective in our work.
