Susan Page: Healthcare Costs Will Be An Increasing Problem For Republicans If There Is No Fix For Spike In Obamacare Premiums
On Friday’s “Special Report” panel, USA Today’s Susan Page said that, as President Biden learned, President Trump will soon find out that “people understand what’s happening at their own kitchen table.”
SHANNON BREAM, FOX NEWS: So here’s what the president said on Truth Social about what has been accomplished. He says, “Cost and inflation were far higher under the sleepy Joe Biden administration than they are now. In fact, costs under the Trump administration are tumbling down, helped greatly by gasoline and energy. Affordability is a lie when used by the Dems. It is a complete con job. Thanksgiving costs are 25% lower this year than under crooked Joe. We are the party of affordability.” And Susan, they’re pointing out, you know, gas can be back in the $ 2 range shortly. SUSAN PAGE, USA TODAY: Yeah, gas has been a good number for President Trump, but I think it is a losing proposition to tell people that they don’t know what’s going on in their own lives. They understand what’s happening with their rent and with their food costs and with their health care costs, which I think is going to be an increasing problem for Republicans if there’s no fix on the spike in Obamacare premiums that we’re going to see as a result of the extension that got us out of the shutdown. People understand what’s happening at their own kitchen table. That’s something that Joe Biden found out. It’s something that’s true also for President Trump.
