Full Video: NASA Briefing Ahead Of Artemis II Mission To Orbit Moon — Launch As Soon As February 6
Watch live as NASA holds a mission overview news conference on the rollout of Artemis II, the first crewed lunar flyaround mission in more than half a century, on Saturday morning from the Kennedy Space Center. Officials said the rollout will start no earlier than 7 a.m. eastern time, as the rocket begins a multi-hour trek from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. “Once the vehicle reaches the launch pad, teams will begin final integrated launch testing of the entire system,” NASA Press Secretary Bethany Stevens said. “This testing provides critical data, and if needed, the vehicle may be rolled back into the hangar to address any findings.” The launch window for the 10-day mission to orbit the moon without landing opens as soon as Feb. 6. NASA’s Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen are in the crew.
