Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) on Chris Cuomo’s new SiriusXM program, “Cuomo Mornings,” said he is an “honest broker” of what is really happening in American politics.

CHRIS CUOMO, HOST: Do you think you’re going to stay in politics? SEN. FETTERMAN (D-PA): Oh, come on. Are you going to stay in media? CHRIS CUOMO, HOST: I don’t know. I don’t. I’m not sure whether or not what I’m doing is helping. I don’t know. I don’t know. I think about it all the time. SEN. FETTERMAN: I’m very much, I’m very much in the middle of this, and that’s why we’re having this conversation. And that’s the thing. I’m not going to grow a beautiful head of hair right now. It’s like, this is my career and this is my honor to be a voice here for Pennsylvania. And I’m going to have, and I’ll be an honest broker of “here’s what’s really happening.” And just like so many Democrats in the House refused to vote for that yesterday in the House. We all know, we’re all pros here. We all know that wasn’t going to defund ICE or going to abolish ICE. It is just that they were afraid for the blowback and they were willing to shut all those parts of our government, like the military. But that’s entirely appropriate. Sever the five. And now thankfully that happened. And now we can focus on DHS and we can make the appropriate changes that ICE is necessary at this point. It’s like we can talk, you know, adults, voters are not, they’re not children. They can say, here’s why we’re doing this. That doesn’t mean we agree with all these things that ICE is doing. We are suing. We shouldn’t punish people in the military. You just referenced, they had to shoot down an Iranian drone. You don’t want to pay that pilot that just shot that drone down because of just the politics of shutting, voting it down? I refuse to do that. I want these kinds of appropriate changes. I called Noem, she needs to leave. And it is like being honest about this conversation. What’s driving this?
