FNC’s Trey Yingst says an Israeli official believes they have struck the site of a meeting of top Iranian officials, and FNC’s Bret Baier reports that the Israelis believe Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was at this meeting. “We saw a broader strike window open up when the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier arrived in the eastern Mediterranean,” Yingst said. “During the war in June, they were able to time the strikes so precisely that they took out nearly the entire command center of the IRGC – the entire leadership corps of Iran’s military. And it appears, according to a statement we just received from a single Israeli official, that they were able to do this again.” Yingst quotes an unnamed senior Israeli official: “Three sites where gatherings of Iranian terror regime officials were taking place were struck simultaneously. And several senior figures essential to the management of the campaign and the regime’s governance were eliminated.” “The question is, how will we know, do you think, whether those leadership targets have been taken out? The Israelis, in some reporting, believe they got the ayatollah, but we will have to wait and see confirmation of all of that,” FNC’s Bret Baier said.
