Trump: I Told Netanyahu To Stop Attacking Oil And Gas Sites, And “We’re Not Doing That Anymore”
President Trump answered a question about his Truth Social post last night criticizing an Israeli attack on Iranian oil and gas infrastructure which led to comparable retaliation against the Arab states during a brief press conference Thursday with the Japanese Prime Minsiter. “The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen,” Trump wrote last night on Truth Social. “NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar – In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.” “I told him don’t do that, and he won’t do that,” Trump told a reporter who asked on Thursday. “We’re not doing that anymore.”
REPORTER: You talked to Minister Netanyahu about attacking the oil and gas fields. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Yeah, I did. I did. I told him don’t do that, and he won’t do that. We didn’t discuss, you know, we do. We’re independent. We get along great. It’s coordinated, but on occasion, he’ll do something, and if I don’t like it–and, so we’re not doing that anymore.
