Viral AI Spoof Casts Hollywood Stars In Iran War: “Straight Outta Hormuz”
This AI-generated spoof of the Iran War, featuring representations of Hollywood stars to mock US and Israeli goals and motivations, has gotten millions of views online this week. Featuring an AI Paul Giamatti as Benjamin Netanyahu and a Naked Gun-style Liam Neeson as President Trump, it jokes that Iran is “dangerous levels of two weeks away” from a nuclear weapon. “Even more two weeks away than they were five years ago.” AI Ian McKellen plays Ayatollah Khameinei, urging his son (Jake Gyllenhaal) to avenge him if anything happens to him, “where no one can find me — my office on the third floor, next to the really big window.” “Please keep me out of this. No one likes this war, and I really want to be president,” says an AI Zach Galifinaks, hiding behind a curtain portraying Vice President Vance. The AI Dame Judi Dench playing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is also particularly notable. “Sometimes the best reason for war is no reason at all,” is the tagline for this parody movie trailer titled: “Iran War: Straight Outta Hormuz.”
