UFC 329 full fight: Max Holloway defends BMF title vs. Dustin Poirier
Max Holloway is the only fighter to have defended the UFC's "Baddest Motherf*cker" belt in the title's short history.
Back at UFC 318 in July 2025, Holloway took on former UFC interim lightweight champion Poirier in his retirement fight. Holloway had lost twice to Poirier – once in 2012 and the other in 2019. Although Holloway lost the trilogy series, he made sure to be the one to close it out with his hand raised. Holloway and Poirier battled for 25 minutes, and the Hawaiian ended up winning a clear unanimous decision.

Holloway (27-9 MMA, 23-9 UFC) returns to action on July 11 in the main event of UFC 329 in Las Vegas. He rematches Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC), but this time in a welterweight bout. Holloway and McGregor had previously fought at featherweight in a 2013 UFC bout.
