Trump: Obama Was On Iran’s Side “Because He’s A– Well, Let’s Not Say”
President Trump commented on the history of U.S. negotiations with Iran Monday morning on “FOX & Friends,” and particularly blamed President Obama’s JCPOA for the situation the U.S. is in now. “This should have been done 47 years ago. It shouldn’t have been allowed,” Trump said. “Obama was the worst of all. Obama went to their side, you know, because he’s-well, let’s not say. Let’s leave that for another time. He was terrible.”
LAWRENCE JONES: Mr. President, Lindsey Graham was definitely on your side when it comes to Iran and the threat of them having a nuclear weapon. It looks like they are back at it, trying to take over the Strait of Hormuz. What is your response? PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: We’re taking over the strait. They have nothing. Something nobody knows: Yesterday they had an 11-hour meeting. Every meeting is 11 hours with those guys. It can’t be one sentences and one hour-it should be one minute. Everything was agreed to yesterday, and then they leave the room and they call back and say, “We had to make a couple of changes.” I said, “They’re going to make changes? We’re not going to make changes.” Always changes. They’re professional negotiators, that’sall they are. I don’t even call them good at it. They’ve got nothing from me. Look, for 47 years they’ve been taking advantage of every president. Every president got taken advantage of and didn’t do anything, and they became more powerful. This should have been done 47 years ago. It shouldn’t have been allowed to start. Clinton and Bush let them go. Everybody let them go. Obama was the worst of all. Obama went to their side, you know, because he’s-well, let’s not say. Let’s leave that for another time. He was terrible. He allowed Iran-he gave them $ 1.7 billion in green cash, in satchels, on an airplane, and brought it to Tehran. $ 1.7 billion. Did you ever see a million dollars in cash? This is $ 1.7 billion. It took up an entire Boeing 757. They flew it to Tehran and gave it to people waiting for the plane. These people had never seen money like that, and now they had $ 1.7 billion in cash, and hundreds of billions in cash and everything else. He went to their side, and they built and became more powerful because of Obama. And Biden, who was vice president-he probably had nothing to say. He was such a stupid person. I held them down. I stopped them. The JCPOA-I stopped it. And I stopped it very powerfully. I ended that agreement. It was the worst agreement signed by this country-one of the top five worst agreements. It basically gave them everything, and they built and built and built… and they were minutes away from a nuclear weapon.
