Bret Baier: Belarus President Told Trump That Putin Is Ready To Deal
“Special Report” host Bret Baier on Friday reported President Donald Trump spoke to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Air Force One and told the president that Vladimir Putin is “ready to deal.”
BRET BAIER, FOX NEWS: So, he was optimistic, but essentially said he could walk, much like Ronald Reagan walked in Reykjavik with Gorbachev in 1986. I didn’t mention Senator Murkowski is on board too, right now meeting with the President. Before that, he had me into that office, that’s where that is, the office in the front of Air Force One. And he had me listen as he talked to the leader of Belarus, Lukashenko, and essentially said that he, Lukashenko, told him that he believes that Putin is ready to deal and that this is going to be a positive thing. Now, remember, the leader of Belarus is a close ally of the Russian President, and so it was informative. He also got some hostages released who were jailed inside Belarus, the President did. So he came off that call optimistic about where things stood.
