Carville to Karine Jean-Pierre: “Lady, Please, Do Your Book Tour, And Then Shut The F**k Up”

James Carville criticizes Karine Jean-Pierre’s book tour on “Politics War Room.”

JAMES CARVILLE: Kamala Harris has a book out. She has a right to do that. Most people who lose a presidential race have a book out. And the reviews will have to speak for themselves. But it’s like, she’s thinking about running in 2028 and we need this and that. All of the people in the world, and I’ll just say this very blunt, I do not feel sorry for her. You were the DA of San Francisco. You were the Attorney General of California. You were United States Senator of California. You were Vice President of the United States. You were handed the uncontested nomination to your party. And I’ve met her husband. He’s this utterly lovely, successful man, right? You know, you’re well off. It’s not, I don’t feel sorry for you. There’s no pity here. And I can’t stop you from running again, but I can promise you, you’re not gonna get the nomination. And then I’m treated to Karine Jean-Pierre AL HUNT: Oh my God. Go ahead. CARVILLE: And so she goes on with this guy, Isaac Chotiner (The New Yorker), who I don’t think I know, but it seems to me like it’s a, you know- HUNT: He does some of the great Q and A’s in American journalism. CARVILLE: Right! And she goes on, promoting the book, okay? They’ve done books, you go on. Well, they ask you about the book, okay? That’s what your question’s gonna be about. And she started tagging him that she shouldn’t answer that because she’s a black lesbian female. Lady, please, do your book tour, and then shut the f*ck up. Please. HUNT: James, she said that it was outrageous that some people thought that the nomination shouldn’t be handed to Kamala Harris. And then she said, she goes on and she says, of course I knew she couldn’t win. Well, what the hell is the point of a nomination if you can’t win? She has every right to publish the book, but I have every right, James, not to read it. CARVILLE: I agree, and one’s opinion is not determinative by their gender, their race, their sexual identity, or anything else, you know? People, some people are wrong, some people are right. But God d*mn, I wonder if these people have any self-awareness. I mean, does somebody say that she has a publisher? Does her wife or, well, I don’t know, whatever. Does somebody say, man, what you’re saying makes utterly no sense at all.
