Coulter: We’re In The Middle Of A Massive War In Iran That Is Starting To Look Like The Iraq War
Columnist Ann Coulter talks about Ben Shapiro and the Iran War on her podcast, “Unsafe.”
ANN COULTER: This did not get as much attention as I expected. It was a story linked on Drudge from Vox, the end of Ben Shapiro or something like that, the collapse of his media empire. Okay, well, I’m not believing it. Ben Shapiro’s very smart. I think he’s loads of fun to listen to. I, in fact, always think that I’ve inadvertently set my computer to play it on double speed. No, that’s just how he talks. As some of you may remember, back when Bush was president and looking for a new Supreme Court nominee, I wanted him to nominate Ben Shapiro, who had just started at Harvard Law School. I like to get them really young. I do disagree with Ben and many conservatives, apparently, on the Iran war. So this seems to be the crux, which is completely twisted and made insulting in this Vox article, which says, the deciding factor in canonizing the new wave of MAGA, even post-MAGA conservatism in America, is there’s a lot of creators on one side who say we should not be involved with Israel. They say that largely for anti-Semitic reasons, but also because they’re xenophobic and isolationist, but they know this is a red line they cannot go across. Oh, so they’re fine with anti-Semitism, but they can’t go across the line of isolationism. I’m giving demerits right there just on logic points. But I don’t think that’s the issue. He goes on, Okay, a lot of people support Israel. This isn’t about supporting Israel. We’re in the middle of a massive war. Wow is kind of starting to look like the Iraq war, exactly what Trump promised not to get us into. I mean, it’s driven down Trump’s approval ratings to act like the only reason you could be against this war is because you don’t support Israel. I support Israel. I don’t support the Iran war. And I think we need to get away from calling anyone who opposes the Iran war anti-Semitic. I mean, you’re really just expanding all the people who may think, wow, I never thought I was anti-Semitic, but I guess if I’m against the Iran war, I must be. Okay, this is what this guy says is contributing to the problems that Shapiro is having right now and trying to hold his digital media empire together. They also may not support the 72,000 to one ratio of the Palestinians Israel has killed compared to the Israelis killed by Hamas on October 7th. Yes, it was horrible. I wanted an absolutely brutal response, but 72,000 to one is getting a little greedy, I’d say. The Vox article also says it’s not just anti-Semitism.
