David Marcus: Minneapolis Protesters Think They Are In “One Battle After Another,” But This Isn’t A Movie
FOX News Digital columnist David Marcus analyzed the anti-ICE demonstrators in Minneapolis in an interview with network host Will Cain on Tuesday.
WILL CAIN: Let’s also bring in Fox News digital columnist David Marcus. David, it’s good to see you here today. One of the things that you always do, David, when you’re writing for foxnews.com, when you appear with me here on this show, when you appear on any program, is you stay in touch with the voters of America outside of New York City and Washington D.C., away from Los Angeles, in the Rust Belt, in Pennsylvania, in Ohio, in Iowa. I’ll take care of the South, David, you have the North, and the Midwest. I’m curious what you think today as this sort of kicks off the midterms, right? The President’s here in Iowa. What do you anticipate and what do you want to hear from the President? DAVID MARCUS, FOX NEWS DIGITAL: I would like to hear the President really lean into the law and order message. I don’t buy the idea that the American people are being lost by what we’re seeing in Minneapolis. And frankly, I would like the President to call on every single Democrat to come out today, right now, and tell people to stop going out on the street, impeding federal agents. Let’s be perfectly clear. Alex Pretty was not at a protest. There was no protest. He was in a direct action, the purpose of which was to impede federal officers from making an arrest. It succeeded. The suspect got away. These people are running around in these organized militia groups as if they’re in “One Battle After Another” with Leonardo DiCaprio and Benicio del Toro. But this isn’t a movie. People are dying. And we need it to stop. And I’d like to hear the President send that message. CAIN: That’s exactly what I intend to ask the President about, David. We’ll talk about Governor Tim Walz. We’ll talk about Mayor Jacob Frey. We’ll talk about the politicians and the role they’re playing in what amounts to essentially an insurgency on the streets of America. David, great to see you.
