Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) talks to CNN’s Victor Hugo about the government shutdown: “They moved heaven and earth to come up with funds to pay our troops, which, by the way, I happen to support. I think that no one should go without a paycheck throughout this. I’ve been a longtime sponsor and co-sponsor of legislation that would actually end these shutdowns permanently. No other country in Western society even has the concept of a government shutdown. We’ve only had them for the last 50 years. I think they do enormous damage. They end up being more costly in the end. They should be done away with.”
