Hemingway: Americans Overwhelmingly Support Israel, But They Don’t Want To Get Embroiled In Another Middle Eastern War Again

BRET BAIER, FOX NEWS: Mollie, the U.S. is helping defend Israel, did not help directly on the strikes, we’re told, but there clearly was coordination and a lot of intel and details between the leaders and the leaders of both countries. So, how does the folks in MAGA World look at this, the ones who are very concerned about the U.S. getting pulled into something bigger? MOLLIE HEMINGWAY, FEDERALIST: Yeah, despite what you hear from lefties on college campuses, support for Israel is pretty broad in the United States. It’s like an 80-20 issue. People want Israel to do well and they understand its need to defend itself and protect itself from a very aggressive neighbor. And so, that support for Israel thus far, and including tonight with help with defensive actions, we have American interests in Israel and American businesses, and this all serves the national interest. It is also true that Americans, as much as they support the work that’s being done and support Israel, what they’re doing here, they do not want to get embroiled in an extensive, lengthy Middle Eastern war again. And so, that’s the balancing act that the Trump administration will have to do, how to help out Israel without getting embroiled in a lengthy war.
