MOLLIE HEMINGWAY, ‘THE FEDERALIST,’ EDITOR: Well you know going back to the polls a recent poll showed that 99% of Americans think crime in cities is a big problem and so this is a very simple political situation for Democrats and it is weird that they are letting President Trump just have the day with this. Americans want us want the system to care more about the victims of violent crime and less about rehabilitating those criminals and the pendulum has swung very far in one direction and a lot of Americans say it’s time to switch back.
