Jesse Watters: People Who Celebrate Charlie Kirk’s Death Should Be Shunned From Society, These Sadists Walk Amongst Us

FOX News Channel host Jesse Watters delivered a monologue on Monday’s “Jesse Watters Tonight” on how society should handle people who celebrate the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

JESSE WATTERS, FOX NEWS: That last lady got arrested and expelled from school. Let that be a lesson to everyone out there. That’ll be your fate if you celebrate Charlie’s death, if you spit on his grave, if you give license to violence. Say Charlie had it coming. And for everybody still out there calling us fascists and Nazis, comparing us to the Klan, doxing us and our families, and contributing to this dangerous, wicked, and a holy atmosphere that only leads to death and destruction and pain, you will be dealt with. Everybody will be held accountable. We will not use violence, ever. But we will defend ourselves. We will never sanction law-breaking, but we will drive these people out of society. There will be a social cost. There will be penalties. And they’ll have to answer, because this isn’t about freedom of speech. This isn’t cancel culture. This isn’t like a politically insensitive tweet someone wrote in high school. Murder is not a political platform. We will not work with people who glorify assassinations. We won’t do business with them. We won’t live near them. They’ll be banished, excommunicated, shunned. And the main tool at our disposal for the reckoning that’s about to take place will be sunlight. We will shine a light on everything and everyone, and give everyone an opportunity to repent, to say, I’m sorry, I condemn this. This is unacceptable. What I’ve been participating in is poisonous. And if they don’t do that, they now know what the consequences are. We’ll root out the barbarism. I’ve never seen our movement so determined, so resolute, and so aghast at the repugnant behavior by people we call our own countrymen. These aren’t fringe players. A Secret Service agent was just put on leave for celebrating Charlie’s death. Makes you wonder about Butler, doesn’t it? A top Washington Post columnist, Karen Attiah, just got fired for saying, quote, “part of what keeps America so violent is the insistence that people perform care, empty goodness, and absolution for white men who espouse hatred and violence.” Even Office Depot fired an employee after they refused to print posters for a Charlie Kirk vigil. These sadists are walking among us, and more companies shouldn’t be afraid of doing this. The companies and leaders that are sanctioning this slime should be honored and celebrated for doing the right thing, for their bravery and conviction and principles. This vicious hatred has to be expunged from the country. Jasmine Crockett’s pastor in Texas said this. FREDERICK D. HAYNES, FRIENDSHIP-WEST BAPTIST CHURCH PASTOR: A white Christian gets killed, murdered, not assassinated. We’re gonna tell the whole truth today. Martin King got assassinated. Malcolm X got assassinated. Medgar X got assassinated. Don’t compare Kirk to King. Ain’t no such comparison. WATTERS: That was Pastor Frederick D. Haynes. Doesn’t sound very charitable, does it? Another pastor in Virginia says flags should not be flown at half-mast for Charlie Kirk. ALFRED STREET BAPTIST CHURCH PASTOR: How you die does not redeem how you lived. You do not become a hero in your death when you are a weapon of the enemy in your life. I can abhor the violence that took your life, but I don’t have to celebrate how you chose to live. WATTERS: These Reverend Wright wannabes don’t deserve their platform, their influence, or any respect in today’s America. And the people at the congregation should be ashamed of their pastors and for themselves for participating in that. The media is now demanding unity, but how do you unite with people like this? With vigil vandals and hate preachers and pundits on MSNBC who said Charlie had it coming, that he deserved to die. We’ll come together with people who want to come together, but not with people tearing the country apart, not with the people who don’t want to unite.
