Madeline Summerville: There’s Plenty of Real Bad News About Iran War, No Need to Manufacture It
Political strategist Madeline Summerville, on this week’s broadcast of “Get Real” on RAV, talked to RCP’s David DesRosiers about rhetoric from Iran War opponents.
MADELINE SUMMERVILLE, COMMUNICATIONS ADVISOR: If you’re appealing to those folks, if you’re on the left, and you’re talking to those people, then you have a responsibility to tell them the truth. And the facts already, from an objective perspective, shed a poor light on the Trump administration. For example, the national security information that we’ve received shows us that there was actually no imminent threat of harm to the United States prior to us going in there. The fact is that the reason why we went in there, the reason why the Ayatollah ended up killing 30,000 people was because there were uprisings in the streets. We caused that uprising on purpose. We did that on purpose with Scott Besson. He said they created a dollar shortage specifically to incite people to start rioting in the streets. There’s plenty of bad information without manufacturing.
