Mark Penn: Schumer Put Himself In A No-Win Situation, Left Will Give Him No Credit When He Folds
Stagwell CEO Mark Penn offered his take on the winners and losers of this week in politics, during FNC’s “Special Report” panel on Friday:
MARK PENN: I think clearly the winner was Maria Corina Machado with the Nobel Prize, and I think she’s heading to the presidency of Venezuela. I think it’s a matter of time before we see a repeat of what happened in Panama with Noriega – that really, Maduro is taken out of office and she becomes the president of Venezuela, which will solve a lot of immigration problems. Loser – I think Chuck Schumer. He has put himself in a bind. He cannot end the shutdown here; the left will never give him any credit anyway when he folds on this thing. If he doesn’t fold, I think his resting keep going down. What the heck is the shutdown about? I think he got himself in a no-win situation.
