“MS NOW” Panel Breaks Down Over Trump’s “Vulgar Threat” To Iran: “Declaring Intent To Commit War Crimes”
An MS NOW panel on Sunday morning calls the president’s “Truth Social” post this morning, threatening Iran to make a deal immediately or face the destruction of their power plants and bridges, “historically terrible” and “the sort of thing you’d expect to be introduced in a war crimes tribunal in the future.” “Open the F–kin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” the president said on Easter morning. Panelists Jaqueline Alemany, Laura Barron-Lopez, Jonathan Capehart, Eugene Daniels, and Ankush Khardori of Politico tee off on the president’s comments. “This is disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful, coming from our U.S. President,” Khardori said. “The language is disgraceful. The claims are disgraceful… It’s really difficult for me to process.” “Were it anyone else, we would be talking about the 25th amendment,” Jonathan Capehart said. “And why do I get the feeling either one of these things is going to happen?” “He wants us to get angry, wants the media angry,” Caphart said. “This is coming out on Easter Sunday from the leader of the party of family, the leader of the party of Christian values, that matters!” “And what is this ‘Praise Be To Allah’ thing? He doesn’t care about Allah. He’s poking at them,” Khardori added. “It’s very dangerous, it risks an incredible serious escalation.” Laura Barron-Lopez said, “If there was any chance of any kind of diplomatic negotiations, we’re far beyond that now.” “he wants this, he wants us to be ‘kerfuffled’ and mad, and get angry and heated, because they think this is like a game,” Eugene Daniels said. “He wants the media to get angry,” Capehart said. “You know what, speaking for myself as a member of the media, I am angry. The president of the United States should not be speaking like this, not to the American people, not to the public, and certainly not during a time of war. This is outrageous.”
