Ned Ryun: Structural Changes On Illegal Immigration And Tax Cuts Are Why GOP Must Pass The Bill

American Majority CEO Ned Ryun reacts to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s feud with President Donald Trump on “The Will Cain Show” on FOX News.

WILL CAIN; So there is the substance as well, Ned, of this debate. Many people have said, look, Elon has a point about debt and deficits and making major cuts, but it would seem from this vantage point that President Trump is getting everything he can get in a divided Congress, even a Congress divided among Republicans. The question of the big beautiful bill is, can Elon actually — you can’t get what Elon wants, even if we all want that. NED RYUN, AMERICAN MAJORITY FOUNDER: Yeah, no, you can’t. I’ve yet to hear a plan that is based in reality that would actually pass that the Elons and the Rands and the Thomas Masseys think that they could somehow pass in these current political dynamics. They can’t. It won’t happen. And I think Republicans are being pretty realistic and I hope they will take it to its ultimate conclusion. I don’t think they have a choice but to pass this will, and I’ll make the points here. First of all, you got to make these tax cuts permanent. Republicans control both the House and the Senate. If you do not make them permanent, it could be a 60 to 68 percent tax increase going into the midterms, and if Republicans are responsible for that, they’re gonna get slaughtered. The other thing is, too, some of the structural changes that are taking place, especially in regards to immigration, will. Think about where we were in the first Trump term. We couldn’t get 25 billion for the Southern Wall. We have a hundred and seventy-five billion in this bill that will have deportations of up to no less than a million a year. We’re going to build 701 miles of the Southern Border Wall, but even more importantly, we’re going to actually try and structurally reform our broken immigration system because illegal aliens are costing us about a hundred and fifty billion a year. If we can solve this problem right now, over the next decade, it could be a trillion-plus in savings for the American people. There are massive structural changes in this bill that, for political sake, for their own self-preservation, I think they’re going to tweak a few things, but Republicans in many ways are going to be forced to pass this bill.
