RESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: And here as well is Megan Hemhauser from Cresco, Pennsylvania. Megan’s husband works 10 to 15 hours of overtime a week operating heavy equipment while she bartends and waits tables at night and homeschools her two children during the day, getting more and more prevalent. Homeschooling getting more and more. It’s happening. That’s OK. But thanks to no tax on tips and no tax on overtime, more than a quarter of their income will be tax free. Megan, you want to come up? Come on, Megan. Come on up. MEGAN HEMHAUSER, PENNSYLVANIA MOTHER: Oh, my goodness. Thank you. Thank you so much. As President Trump said, I’m a mom, a wife, I homeschool my two brilliant children. And the no tax on tips is incredible. No tax on overtime is incredible for my husband. And it all comes back to our family. It saves us. And it’s for the future of our children. And it’s been such a blessing to be home with them and have them here with me tonight. And thank you for everything, President. TRUMP: You know what’s great? So she had these notes, right? Not notes. It’s a speech. She never even looked at it. She was great. It’s much better when you don’t have to read it. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you. So I just thought, great job. That’s a great job. That’s great. Never looked at the note.
