Anduril founder Palmer Luckey speculated about UFOs during a conversation about why modern stealth aircraft no longer rely on visual camouflage, instead focusing on evading advanced sensors. He suggested that the strange behavior people report by unidentified aerial phenomena may be a byproduct of interacting with reality in ways humans don’t yet understand. “It is likely that whatever they’re doing is a side effect or an artifact of what’s going on,” he said. “How come sometimes they’re invisible in certain spectrums?” “What if they are not interacting with reality itself in a way you would expect? Some of these things you see, they don’t have any radar signature either. I don’t know if that means they are cloaking themselves actively, or if it means they do not exist even, in the way we think about physical matter.” He’s not committed to a single explanation, but is sure of one thing: They weren’t built on Earth by humans recently. “It’s unlikely they were manufactured or created within the last few years. That seems very unlikely to me. I think maybe they have been around for a long time, stored for a very long time, created a very long time ago, or traveled from the distant past into our present,” he said. “My current working theory is they come from the past,” he said. “Coming from the future is too hard. The physics just doesn’t seem to work.” “It could be that they are regularly surveying, and have been around for a long time. You can also imagine a world where maybe Earth hosted advanced civilizations a billion years ago, and we just don’t even know about them, and these are remnants.” I’m not saying I know what is up, he said. I’m saying that it’s my current idea. “There are ways to travel forward through time quickly. If I create gravity distortion, subjective time inside the bubble passes slowly, relative to the time racing by outside.” “There is an out-of print book called ‘The UFOs and USO’s of a Santa Catalina Channel,’ it all about how people have seen this thing into or out of the ocean in extremely similar ways over decades. So it is believable.” “But being stored on Earth does not necessarily mean they came from here — nor does it not — but, I would bet those things are not recently manufactured, I suspect they have been around for either a long time or maybe really, really long time.” “I think the UAP stuff and our technical development live in completely parallel development tracks right now. If and when we figure out what’s going on with UFOs, that whole universe, everything is gonna change, and this stuff won’t be relevant,” he said, pointing to his company’s advanced aircraft and weapons technology.
