Paul Rieckhoff: People Are Done With Trump, And He’s Feeling It
On MS NOW, Paul Rieckhoff explained the fallout from AG Pam Bondi’s removal and President Trump falling approval rating:
RET. FIRST LIEUTENANT PAUL RIECKHOFF, IRAQ WAR VETERAN, PODCASTER; I think a lot of people are done. And I think Trump’s hearing that he’s seeing it and he’s feeling it, especially from his base. Shawn Ryan, the influential Navy SEAL podcaster said, you know, he’s done. He said, I’m over it. I’m tired of the lies. Don’t come knocking on my door. Don’t come asking for my help. I think a lot of people feel that way. And it’s really a triad. It’s Epstein. It’s the terribly unpopular situation with ICE. And now it’s the Iran war. And those three things are now coming together with gas prices in a spike that’s directly lined at Trump. And I think he wants to he wants to stop the bleeding. He wants to change the narrative. He wants to get rid of Pam Bondi. But the problem with the Trump administration is if you remove her, it’s just another person coming in her place. It’s just like removing Kristi Noem and putting in Mark Wayne Mullen or removing the Ayatollah and putting in his son. I mean, it’s the same kind of regime. It’s going to be another loyalist. And at its very base, until there’s accountability for Epstein, it’s not going to move. I have Ro Khanna on my show today and I asked him, what’s the plan? How do you move this forward? And he and Tom Massie have been very smart and strategic in assembling a bipartisan coalition that’s not going to let this go. And Trump wants to try to move on to other things.
