Shellenberger: Left’s Radicalization Problem Isn’t Just With People In The Streets, It’s With Their Own Candidates

Investigative journalist Michael Shellenberger discusses the radical left and disturbing text messages made by the Democratic nominee for Virginia Attorney General with FOX News host Jesse Watters.

JESSE WATTERS, FOX NEWS: Founder of Public News, Michael Shellenberger. Alright, Mike, they’re talking a lot about a civil war. What’s that about? MICHAEL SHELLNBERGER, PUBLIC NEWS: Great to be with you, Jesse. Terrifying, I mean, it just gets worse and worse. I was on your show weeks ago talking about increased violence from the left. I think one of the most disturbing is, we’ve had over 72 hours now where we’ve known that this attorney general candidate for Virginia was fantasizing about the murder of his political opponents and the death of one of their children, or the death of their children. I had expected, you know, I got up this morning, I figured, I checked, I figured there’d be some very high-profile Democrats calling for him to withdraw from the race. Jesse, not a single one, not a single high-profile Democrat at this time has called for him to withdraw from the race. This is shocking. I mean, if you’re a conservative or a Republican in Virginia and he is elected, you cannot feel safe. You cannot feel like the law is going to be fairly enacted in Virginia. I think it’s quite terrifying precedent. Terrifying in the sense that not just in what he said, which I think reflects a level of sadism that we haven’t seen before, but the fact that no Democrat will demand that he step down. I think the left has still got this radicalization problem, and it’s not just with those people in the streets, it’s with their own political candidates.
