Taibbi: Democrats May Have Spied On Trump’s 2024 Canpaign, Not Just 2016
Matt Taibbi says he is working with a source who is reporting that the DOJ could get around statutes of limitation for Russiagate by showing that the conspiracy continued until the 2024 election:
MEGYN KELLY: Anyway, you’re reporting that DOJ is also focusing on conspiracy charges-looking at conduct from 2016 through 2024-and also at evidence that members of Trump’s campaign may have been spied on in 2024. So, can you please elaborate on either of those points? MATT TAIBBI: I can’t say a whole lot, Megyn, other than what I wrote. But I’ve heard a couple of different stories. I have one source who has a very concrete story about this, but I can’t go forward with it yet. But what I can say is that there’s a statute of limitations issue with some of these 2016 behaviors that would be solved if they could prove a continuing pattern of conduct. And there were various investigations that took place during the Biden era-some of which the public knows about, some of which they don’t know about. And those, I think, would become tied to a conspiracy charge that would relate to these 2016 behaviors.
