Tomi Lahren: Maybe Trump Should Withdraw ICE From Minneapolis, Leave Them To Their Own Devices
FOX News contributor and co-host of “The Big Weekend Show” Tomi Lahren reacts to the response from Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) to Saturday’s fatal ICE-involved shooting.
GOV. TIM WALZ: I call on all Americans to see the decency that this state is exhibiting and the horrific, cruelty, unprofessional, absolute abomination that is passing for what these ICE agents are doing on our streets. JOEY JONES, FOX NEWS HOST: And that’s the situation, Tomi, that we have tonight. You heard Tim Walz’s press conference and you know for, I guess to give him some credit, he doesn’t walk away from an opportunity to make himself look stupid. TOMI LAHREN, FOX NEWS HOST: That is certainly the case here. I just want to just encapsulate all this and how ridiculous this entire thing is and the pleas from the mayor and the governor and others for federal agents to get out because they would have peace if federal agents weren’t there enforcing the law and protecting the community. How stupid is that? I live in Nashville, Tennessee. What if we just decided, you know what, we don’t want to pay taxes anymore. And you know, just to make sure we don’t pay taxes anymore, we’re going to send all our foot soldiers out on the street and we’re going to burn things and we’re going to throw things and we’re going to riot and we’re going to assault officers. And then would that make the IRS leave the city of Nashville or the state of Tennessee? My guess is no. How ridiculous it is that because they can’t control their constituents who behave this way, that they think that federal law should no longer be enforced because of that is so asinine to me and so idiotic. I’ve gone back and forth today thinking, you know what, maybe President Trump should just leave Minneapolis to its own devices. Maybe it should just leave Minnesota, let them be overrun with illegals and fraudsters. But then the other part of me is like, no, you need to make sure we have order and restore order in this country. This is not 2020 and we need to reset that precedent. And President Trump, hopefully if things get bad tonight, we’ll consider the Insurrection Act.
