Pollster Matt Towery reacts to the Biden-Hur audio tape on Friday’s broadcast of “The Ingraham Angle” on FOX News.

LAURA INGRAHAM, HOST: Now there’s the fax reference there. Matt, your reaction to this? I think some of it is not as bad as the — you know, the two major lapses are about two seminal events, the death of his son and the election of Donald Trump. Your reaction, though? MATT TOWERY, POLITICAL ANALYST AND POLLSTER: Well, you know, I’m usually a pretty light hearted analyst and pollster, and I’d like to put a little fun spin on things, a very somber night to me, the stories you’ve seen so far on this show. It sort of wraps everything up in a bow. We knew this was going on. We knew that the media was not telling the truth. I live in a world where pollsters put out polls that simply do not represent President Trump’s real approval rating. I looked at the major broadcast networks just a few seconds ago. There’s no story about this even coming out on Axios, so we’re not shocked by it. Certainly someone is going to have to look into who was running this country. But I think more importantly, to your viewers, this tells everyone the truth that they went after Donald Trump with fake lies, and meanwhile, covered up for a president who had very serious problems grasping what he was doing and what circumstances were around his own presidency and before he was President. So, it’s a very somber night for me. I’m — it’s really amazing… Well, this is one of the biggest scandals of my lifetime. And it’s — and yet, the media will treat it as if it’s not one. They treat it as — with these books. And so, I think tonight, I want people to realize that everything that you’ve been telling them, that we’ve been telling them, that it’s now true. And don’t trust these media stories. Don’t trust these fake polls. And someone does need to get to the bottom of this entire set of circumstances, and I’m sure they will.
