Trey Gowdy: You Can Mourn The Minneapolis Mother’s Death And Still View The Shooting As Justified
FOX News host and former Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) analyzes the fatal ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis this week.
BRET BAIER, ‘SPECIAL REPORT’ HOST: Trey, we’ve seen a lot of interpretations, a lot of people weighing in. This new video adds another wrinkle to it. What’s your take? FORMER REP. TREY GOWDY (R-SC), FOX NEWS: We’ve got to see all the video. Look at every piece of evidence that is out there. Interview everyone. Look, legally, if the officer reasonably believed that his life was in danger, then it was a justified shooting. But Bret, it’s possible, it’s possible to mourn the loss of this mother’s life and it also be a justified shooting. I mean, those two are not inconsistent, but I’m not gonna make up my mind until every piece of evidence is in, and that’s what a jury is told in court, and that’s the way I’m gonna act outside of court.
