Trump Confirms He Spoke With Venezuelan Leader Maduro: “I Wouldn’t Say It Went Well Or Badly”
President Trump confirmed Sunday night that he did speak on the phone with Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, but declined to say whether it went “well” or “badly.”
REPORTER: The New York Times is reporting you had a phone call with Maduro. Did you? PRESIDENT TRUMP: I don’t want ot comment on that, the answer is yes. REPORTER: Can you tell us a little about that? PRESIDENT TRUMP: I can’t do that. REPORTER: Would you say it went well? PRESIDENT TRUMP: I wouldn’t say it went well or badly; it was a phone call.
