Trump Describes Iran War As A “Short Term Excursion”
President Trump said Monday during a Congressional GOP event that the Iran War was a “short-term excursion,” after telling a CBS reporter earlier that “the war is very complete.” “We took a little excursion because we felt we had to do that to get rid of some evil. I think you’ll see it’s going to be a short-term excursion. Short term!” Trump repeated. “How good is our military, right? Short term. Short term.” “We rebuilt the military in the first term, and I didn’t know we’d be using it so much in the second term,” he added. The president elaborated during a press conference later on Monday afternoon:
