Trump on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Resignation: I Told Her You Can “Go Your Own Way”
A turtleneck-wearing President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters on the White House lawn Saturday, was asked whether he is willing to forgive retiring Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Trump is spending the day at Joint Base Andrews, where he is working with golf legend Jack Nicklaus on plans to revitalize the base’s course, which will be named the “President’s Golf Course.”
REPORTER: Are you willing to forgive Congresswoman Taylor Greene? PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Forgive for what? No, I just disagreed with her philosophy. She started backing perhaps the worst Republican Congressman in our history. You know, a stupid person named [Rep. Thomas] Massie. And I said, “go your own way.” And once I left her, she resigned because she would never have survived a primary. But I think she’s a nice person. Okay, thank you very much.
