UFC Vegas 115 results: Renato Moicano bullies Chris Duncan en route to finish

Renato Moicano showed there are levels to the game when he defeated his own teammate Saturday at Meta APEX.

In the UFC Fight Night 272 main event, Moicano (21-7-1 MMA, 13-7 UFC) dominated his American Top Team brethren Chris Duncan (15-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) en route to a rear-naked choke submission at the 3:14 mark of Round 2.

Moicano came out pumping the jab and pieced Duncan up on the feet before he dragged the fight into his world of grappling. Moicano dominated Duncan on the canvas. While Duncan was able to fend off initial submission attempts, he succumbed to a blood-soaked rear-naked choke in Round 2.

After the fight, Moicano gave an expletive-filled, Easter-themed sermon filled with f-bombs and other expletives, and indicated he doesn’t want to be a divisional gatekeeper.

With the win, Moicano bounced back from a two-fight skid that consisted of losses to former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in a title fight he took on a day’s notice and Beneil Dariush. Duncan had a four-fight winning streak snapped.
