Watch Live: President Trump Speaks To 80th United Nations General Assembly
President Trump is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday morning, around 10:00 a.m. ET, as world leaders gather in New York for the 80th annual session. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French President Emmanuel Macron, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa are also speaking on the first day of the U.N.’s gathering of world leaders. The wars in Gaza and Ukraine are expected to be the major focuses this year, and President Trump is scheduled to have bilateral meetings with leaders of groups of countries involved in both situations later in the day. Notably, France, the U.K., Canada, and Australia are planning to join more than 140 other members in recognizing an independent Palestinian state. The Trump administration did not give him a visa to enter the U.S., but Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas spoke virtually before the assembly on Monday.
