President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order on Friday to change the name of the Department of Defense back to the “Department of War,” as it was called from 1789 to 1947. “We had an unbelievable history of victory when it was Department of War. Then we changed it to Department of Defense,” Trump said last month. “I’m sure Congress will go along if we need that.”
