LAURA INGRAHAM: A campaign for common sense, that’s the focus of tonight’s angle. Last night I told you that the left-wing hacks are working overtime to demoralize Republicans before the midterms. CHRIS HAYES, MS NOW: The guy is among the least popular presidents in modern history, his approval rating is hovering around 34% and trending downward. ALI VELSHI, MS NOW: Trump’s approval numbers remain underwater, many of his top policies are deeply unpopular.<\/i> INGRAHAM: Nah, they want you to believe that all hope is lost, so you don’t even bother voting, don’t even show up. Why? Because then they get to waltz back into power on the Hill, impeach Trump, and then get ready to back AOC or Newsom or OSSEF in 2028. And then? Well, undo Trump’s success with energy independence, reshoring manufacturing, and locking down the border. Now, look, of course the White House wishes his numbers were higher and that the Iran war was solved or resolved, but don’t fall for what is a giant exercise in deflection. Plus, don’t discount the number of voters who deeply admire and appreciate the president’s work. HARRY ENTEN, CNN: The president Republicans most admire, it’s Donald Trump. This is a historic comparison. A majority of Republicans say, 53% say he’s the Republican president they most admire. Ronald Reagan, who traditionally has won that much, Donald Trump nearly triples up on this, Reagan at just 18%, and then Abraham Lincoln, who by most historic accounts is the greatest president of all time.<\/i> INGRAHAM: All right, we’re going to see how it all plays out after Labor Day and at the midterm convention in Dallas, but for now, the focus needs to be on what Democrats and their new socialist friends are so desperate to hide, and it’s how radical and how dangerous their agenda really is.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
