Alan Dershowitz, Former Trump Attorney, Author, and Professor Emeritus at Harvard Law School, argues that the focus should be on supporting Israel’s right to defend itself rather than on public relations. Dershowitz contends that Israel “did the right thing in Gaza” and warns that “the world hates weakness.” <\/p>\n
ALAN DERSHOWITZ: I don’t think our priority should try to be to persuade people. I think the priority should be to never let Israel compromise its security. Israel did the right thing in Gaza. Even if they knew what the reaction was going to be, the only solution is a strong Israel, less dependent on the United States, more dependent on its own ability, less dependent on listening to foreign leaders, even if the foreign leader is their friend, but being able to defend themselves. The world hates weakness. Remember that Israel suffered its worst blow on October 7th and October 8th, because for the first time they were seen as weak and vulnerable. So my advice is do not prioritize public relations. Do not prioritize an attempt to convert people. Prioritize completely defending Israel’s right to defend itself, to become more aggressive against Iran, favor regime change. Worry about what’s going on more in the Middle East than what’s going on in the congressional districts in New York and in California.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
