That’s why I’m curious what is the Colts biggest positional deficiency right now at least in the Horseshoe Faithful’s eyes:

A whopping 59% of Colts fans believe that it’s at defensive end, presumably opposite entrenched starter Laiatu Latu, in the wake of both Kwity Paye (Raiders) and Samson Ebukam (Falcons) departing earlier in free agency.

Now, the Colts did not come away from this offseason without a reinforcement, as the team signed veteran defensive end Arden Key to a relatively team-friendly deal. While it was initially thought that Key could just be a rotational proven edge to help replace their lost depth, he’s now the projected starter.

His primary competition is projected to be 2nd-year pro Jaylahn Tuimoloau, who had a pretty quiet debut season as the Colts’ 2025 2nd round pick, but is hoping to be much improved after clearly hitting a rookie wall.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – MAY 27: Indianapolis Colts defensive end Arden Key (98) runs through a drill during the Indianapolis Colts OTA on May 27, 2026 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center in Indianapolis, IN.
