Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, in conversation with podcaster Hasan Piker ahead of tomorrow’s primary election, commented on Democrats like John Fetterman and James Carville criticizing the rise of Democratic Socialism inside the party. “James Carville is fantasizing about leaving the party<\/a>,” Piker said. “I’m like, you’re sweetening the deal!” “James Carville architected the complete right-wing ascent to neoliberalism in 1996,” El-Sayed added. “Why does anybody still listen to James Carville? He said one smart thing, once. And he seems to have forgotten it, which is ‘It’s the economy, stupid.’ Buddy, it’s the economy, stupid!
