These are real red states.” “Texas hasn’t voted for a Democrat for the Senate since 1988. Alaska-good luck, Dan Sullivan is still a pretty popular senator.” “Ohio and Iowa are the two to watch,” Kraushaar said. “There’s been some polling in both those races. Sherrod Brown is down by a few points in Ohio. The Democrats are actually leading in Iowa. So they would have to run the table, including in these very red states that I think are going to be red enough for Republicans to win.” “Clearly, the environment is horrible for the Republican Party and Trump, no doubt about it. And I think the House is a fait accompli for the Democrats to win back. But the map is just so tough for Democrats,” he said. “I think if we look at history-even 2018-Republicans held their own in some of the redder states, and I think that’ll be the same in 2026.”
